lol how often do you think these ships go out all alone??? they move in convoys with aircraft carriers and subs if you can get one plane on them im pretty sure one bomb or missile with only deal superficial damage But That Plane Has To Pass Through All of The Fighter Squad based on its supports ship not to mention their own AA defenses cause there not out there floating around by themselves with only a cannon.

Meh... Battleships are easily outranged by missiles and aircraft. They are too big of targets. A single hit by an enemy missile can result in a thousand deaths and loss of an extremely expensive piece of equipment. If a smaller ship gets hit, life and meteriel losses are a lot smaller.
